Muscles in Motion Massage Therapy
The Philosophy

“Keep your muscles in motion with massage therapy”, that’s our philosophy. Focusing on maintaining the body’s range of motion though massage and stretching exercises will help manage pain and increase mobility. One must have the ability to process change, take action and adjust one’s schedule accordingly, allowing for transformation.
Motion is defined as the action or process of moving or of changing place or position. Sometimes all that is needed to create motion is motivation, the driving force behind change. I create an environment that inspires change and personal growth emotionally and physically. Each client is educated and encouraged to be proactive in their recovery process and to schedule their continuous care plans.
What Is Muscle Therapy?
Muscle Therapy is a better title than Massage Therapy. Muscle Therapy describes what happens during a session at MIMMT. Relaxation is a great reason to get a massage, but lets face it, most of the time people go to get massage because something hurts and they want relief. The way I see it, relaxation is something that happens along the way. The focus of a session is on therapy for the muscles. When pain is relieved, relaxation is achieved.
I’d like to change everyone’s thought process and consider Muscle Therapy a preventitive measure in healthcare. A Muscle Therapist is someone that works closely with other healthcare providers. A Muscle Therapist gets referrals from Physical Therapists, Chiropractors and Physicians to assist in a process of healing. Muscle Therapy is a way to manage pain, relax, reduce stress, increase sports performance and prevent injuries. Muscle Therapy is assisted and passive stretching techniques, manual therapy on muscle groups that cause pain including kneading muscle fibers to rid them of lactic acid build up. With this in mind would you rather go to a Massage Therapist or a Muscle Therapist?
