Massage Therapy in Cicero and Webster, NY

Megan Caron has taken over the Cicero, NY location providing the same great services as former massage therapist, Shania Dzielak. The advantage of Massage Therapy sessions in Cicero, NY is the onsite Chiropractic care patients can recieve in addition to their muscle therapy treatments.
Shania Dzielak has moved into the Rochester market with Muscles In Motion Massage Therapy, partnering up with Follette Therapy which has more of a spa feel. Shania will be providing the same muscle therapy tretments in addition to great relaxation treatments.

Amy’s Slumber Party

Last week-end, Megan and I were giving massages at Amy’s Slumber Party in Syracuse hosted by 93.1. There were so many vendors there and other massage therapy practices, spas, and salons. We want to take this time out and thank all of you that chose to get a bamboo fusion massage with us in the noisy atmosphere of the vendors. We hope that you enjoyed the event and look forward to seeing you in the office as regular clients of massage therapy.

Getting the Word Out About Sports Massage

This past week-end, Megan and I traveled to the Downtown Syracuse Convention Center for the Pinky Stone Gymnastics Invitational. Our purpose was to get the word out to gymnasts, parents and coaches about the benefits of massage for improved athletic performance. We did several Sports Massages for the gymnasts competing. Gymnasts that got a massage also sampled the Helios Pain Relief Spray and loved it.

PINKY STONE GYMNASTICS INVITATIONAL:
CNY Gym Centre located in Shopping town Mall is hosting the Pinky Stone Gymnastics Invitational. This will be a statewide gymnastics competition held in the Downtown Convention Center in Syracuse from December 4-6. I will be there with some other massage therapists doing chair massage and sports massage for the athletes. For more details go to the organizers website: CNY Gym Centre
HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE:
On December 12 from 12-2pm, 5797 State Route 31, SUITE 1 ( that’s our office location )
We will be hosting a patient appreciation Holiday Open House on 12/12/09 from 12-2pm. This would be a good time to bring your friends and family out and get gift certificates for massage therapy. We will have prizes, refreshments and FREE chair massage by our newest addition Megan Caron, LMT. Sewing Spa Week-End

I was so honored to work with Janet again this week-end at the annual Calico Gals Summer Sewing Spa. I was there teaching a few classes and providing relaxing massage therapy services. For those of you that attended this fabulous event, I had such a great time, next year I want to bring my sewing machine and play. I was very happy to see so much interest in my stretching class this year. I hope everyone had the opportunity to grab a stretching “how to” card, if not just email me and I’ll get one out to you. Keep checking back for my “DIY” page on sugar scrubs, room fresheners and such. I promised I would link all my resources for supplies and it’s coming. See you soon.

Going to USAG Region 6 Congress in Boston

I’m so excited to be a part of the USA Gymnastics Regional Congress this year. I remember when I first started coaching in Rochester, I attended my first Regional Conference in Saratoga Springs, NY. I was like a little sponge, soaking up every little piece of information I could get that would help me on my journey as a coach. I remember thinking that someday I wanted to up there and presenting. Now, here I am about to give my first workshop. I’m presenting on posture assessment and stretches for avoiding injuries. The name of my workshop is ” Overused and Under-stretched: Creating Perfect Balance.” The Regional Conference is scheduled for the first week-end in August, so I’ve been practicing my material. I am just hoping I can get a screen projector before I go.
